All Natural, Hydrating Drink - during/post workout
Hello my friend,
I wanted to share this recipe with you because it not only tastes AMAZING, but the health benefits are SO SO good for you!
Hydrating is so important but more often than not, water doesn't have all of the goodness and trace minerals we need to be absorbed back into the body. If we don't have these extra minerals, we start to loose the benefits of how well our bodies can actually work for us, not against us.

So a little further down I have written the recipe which was handed to me by my ayurvedic practitioner. If you'd like to know more about how you can help your body work at its optimum performance then Tamika from The Sattva Centre is definitely the woman to speak to. (If you're in the Adelaide Hills.)
THE BENEFITS
First of all HIMALAYAN SALT has 84 trace minerals in it alone! WOW!
Lime juice is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C
Jaggery isn't just a sugar. It has Magnesium, potassium, and Iron. Plus a smidgen of protein and fat.
If you make it yourself you won't be buying containers for each new purchase of Powerade or whatever it might be some people drink. You'd be recycling the same water bottle or glass and adding nutrition to your body as you workout. (whether is a bit workout or small, it all counts)
I'm sure you can already see why there are SO many benefits to this hydrating drink!
Enough talk, here is the recipe for you...
AYURVEDIC HYDRALYTE
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 Teaspoon Jaggery (ideally NOT white sugar)
A good pinch of Pink Hilayayan Salt
METHOD:

Place jaggery in a large glass along with some hot water (to dissolve)
One dissolved, add in the lime juice and salt.
Top up remaining cup with warm water. (we should never drink COLD water, especially on hot days. It's messed up our digestive system in many) - please drink warm water, or at room temperature only!
And there you have it... Your all natural, super easy hydrating drink.
Ideally you should sip away on this during your workout and after. Depending on your sweat up - maybe have another when you get home. The more you sweat the more minerals you loose out of your pores.
I hope you enjoy!
Much love,
Leah
